I feel like this used to be better, but lately it hasn’t been much help. The lodging options were limited, and the few places that did show up either looked overpriced or kind of run down. Availability was also confusing, which made it harder to plan than it should’ve been.

had a fun day here. the food was good, the shops were cute to walk around, and the prices felt reasonable overall.

Mackinac Island was such a nice surprise. Compared to other busy waterfront towns I’ve visited, it felt way more relaxed and charming, mostly because there are no cars and everything moves at a slower pace. The views by the water were beautiful, the old houses were fun to walk past, and all the flowers made the whole place feel almost storybook-like without being overdone. We spent most of the day just walking around, and somehow it never felt boring. It has this calm, old-time feel that you don’t really get in more crowded vacation spots. I’d definitely go back.

I used the site to look up bike rentals, forts, and carriage tours, and it did point me in the right direction. The weird part is, some of the attraction info felt useful at first but then kind of stopped short when I wanted more details. It’s good if you just need a quick overview before you go, but I definitely had to double-check a few things on other sites too.

The info was decent overall, but actually getting there and figuring out your way around was sorta confusing. Ferry times, parking, and accessibility details weren’t as clear as I’d hoped. If you have mobility issues, I’d definitely plan ahead and give yourself extra time, because it’s not exactly easy
